Instructor: Fred Sovie 

During week two, children will learn how to draw and color a portrait of their favorite canine friend! Students are encouraged to bring a photo of their dog—or a special pup they know—for inspiration and a fun show-and-tell with the class. We can’t wait to meet their furry friends through art!

About your instructor: Fred earned an M.S. in Art Education from Potsdam College and St. Lawrence University. Fred and his wife are retired teachers who moved to Clayton with their family two years ago. Fred has more than 30 years of experience teaching art to students in grades K–12. He taught at Copenhagen School and retired from Watertown High School in 2022. He brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and enthusiasm for art education to his students.
