Drawing may not come naturally to many people, but with training and practice anyone can learn to draw reasonably well. The key to good drawing is to work from the general to the specific while incorporating three simple concepts. Learn to draw shapes, not things; see the perspective of the image such that all shapes lie on a single picture plane; and understand the concept of eye level. Once you’ve mastered these important concepts, you will have what you need to draw well and to make your artwork better.
Materials required: #2 or HB pencil, eraser, a few colored pencils, 9” x 12” sketchbook or pad, 12” ruler, razor knife, light grit sandpaper, and some tissues.
