Instructor: Cheryl Simeone
This class will begin with an overall description of Impressionism, including examples of well-known Impressionist artists and their work. On day one, we’ll review options for paint surfaces and ideas for choosing subject matter. Once we’ve established the basics, you’ll be ready to start painting the floral still-life provided. On the second day, you’ll have time to work on your painting with one-on-one guidance on the impressionistic style. Lastly, you’ll learn how to stabilize your painting with retouch varnish. All supplies will be furnished by the instructor unless you have your own oils and brushes that you prefer to use.
